Barred Rocks
The Barred Rook is a great breed for a small farm or backyard flock owner. The Barred Rock is also known as the Plymouth Rock. Why some people call is the Barred Rock and not by its really name is because of its barred feathers.
I myself have two Barred Rooks and they are great birds. They lay a nice brownish color egg that are about the size of the eggs you can buy from the store. They are also nice friandly birds and grate for people who have never hade chickens befor and are planing to get chickens for the first time. The photo is of a Barred Rook hen (a hen is girl chicken)
